A new NEIU Veterans Club was established last spring to help veterans in their pursuit of academic achievement and overall success.

Nick Skyba, admissions officer, enrollment services, and graduate student, education, is a veteran who founded the club. Skyba's goal was to create awareness and help members build common bonds and become part of the NEIU community.

The club, which already has more than 20 members, welcomes NEIU veterans and students who are interested in helping the club and its members succeed. It focuses on providing assistance through educational benefits, health care, home loans, financial assistance, tutoring, commemorations, presentations, scholarships, demonstrations, and more.

Skyba hopes the NEIU Veterans Club will "instill a sense of camaraderie among the club's members while assisting in their academic endeavors and life success."
